SO HERE ARE MY TOP TIP TO ACHIEVING LASTING FAT LOSS AND INCH LOSS THE HEALTHY WAY

1) SEE THE BIGGER PICTURE

As i have just explained many things can influence the Fat Metabolising process but a big contributing factor is the body accumulating high levels of TOXINS that the body can not dispose of quick enough or efficiently enough.

This is the reason so much emphasis is put on DETOX when it comes to FAT LOSS

The problem is many people don’t really understand what DETOX really is.

Most people tend to generalise DETOX as something you refrain from or consume for a certain period of time but this is not the case at all.

DETOX is something your body performs all the time, however how effective the body is able to perform this essential task depends on a number of factors such as 

POOR DIET AND LIFESTYLES

ENVIROMENT FACTORS

AND THE BIG ONE IS ….. AGE

All of these combined result in a very long chain of inflammation and trauma occurring to the body internally.

2) ADDRESSING INTERNAL INFLAMMATION MUST BE YOUR NUMBER ONE PRIORITY

Obesity is essentially an Inflammatory disorder. One inflammatory response triggers a chain reaction of other inflammatory responses and this chain reaction almost always starts in the gut through poor diet, but lifestyle choices can also be at the root of this spiralling problem. 

Inflammation not only hinders our ability to absorb essential nutrients and enzymes required to assist the natural detox process, but inflammation also causes insulin resistance which promotes weight gain. Additionally inflammation can lead to leptin resistance which results in the glucose and fat metabolising process been impaired meaning weight gain is unavoidable.

And if that wasn’t bad enough to demonstrate this relentless chain reaction i am referring to…….. not only does inflammation lead to insulin resistance but insulin resistance causes a further inflammatory response. 

And lets not forget when insulin resistance occurs this leads to type 2 diabetes which is strongly connected to excessive weight gain and is drastically on the rise.

IT’S ALSO IMPORTANT TO BE BARE IN MIND…..

If you find yourself struggling to lose the dreaded baby weight, when prior to pregnancy your weight never seemed to be a real issue to you, then this shift in circumstances is most likely as a result of the inflammation thats caused to the body when we delivered our bundle of joy ! 

Now your probably thinking surely every mother suffers the same inflammation so how come some lose the baby weight quickly and other new mums can battle to regain their pre pregnancy figure for months and sometimes years on end …….Well the answer to that burning question is not everybody heals at the same rate and many factors can influence how well the body heals and attends to inflammation.

AND THESE ARE THE SAME INFLUENCING FACTORS THAT ALSO EFFECTS OUR NATURAL DETOXIFICATION PROCESS 

CRONIC INFLAMMATION ALSO CAUSES NUTRIENT DEFICIENCIES WHICH SERIOUSLY EFFECTS OUR ABILITY TO ABSORB THE NUTRIENTS AND ENZYMES THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR THE BODY TO PERFORM TO THE BEST OF ITS ABILITY.

When I talk about enzymes these are very different to vitamins and minerals but are still found in a select number of foods.

It’s these enzymes that are required to assist the body in its quest to protect our healthy cells and assist the production of new cells as cells naturally die or get damaged.

Another common symptom of nutrient deficiency is fatigue. This is also as a result of the inability to absorb enough of the right nutrients that we require to promote energy production, brain function and additionally to make enough red blood cells and haemoglobin which are essential for carrying oxygen around the body. 

Unfortunately we can not fix any of these problem by taking supplement pills, engaging in a healthy eating plan or partaking in a juice or smoothie a day. 

This is why the condition as a whole will never get resolved fully without first breaking the problem down further to identify as many of the individual factors that are playing a part in this never-ending chain reaction of Inflammation and Trauma!

3) DROP THE FAT FREE OPTIONS ON YOUR NEXT SHOPPING TRIP

Fat Free options contain high levels of sugar to enhance the natural flavour of the product.

Sugar influences insulin to be released by the pancreas. 

ALWAYS BE AWARE: Sugar comes with many different names and very often manufacturers will refrain from using the actual word SUGAR in a desperate attempt to trick the consumer into thinking the product is a healthy option.

4) UTILISE WHAT NATURE HAS GIVEN US AND BEGIN TO MAKE BETTER CHOICES

This is the only magic combination that will improve the fat metabolising process

THERE’S NO SHORT CUTS AND NO MAGIC PILL THAT WILL MAKE THE TASK ANY EASIER.

AND WHAT EVER IMPROVEMENTS YOU DO CHOOSE TO INGAGE IN IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THIS IS A CONSISTENT IMPROVEMENT.

Flash In The Pan Gestures Will Only Make The Situation Worse.

CONSISTENCY IS CRITICAL FOR THE RECOVERY OF ANY HEALTH RELATED MATTER INCLUDING FAT LOSS.

So that last 10 day, 30 day detox you last took part in has most likely made your current health circumstances worse !

5) PACK THE SCALES AWAY THEY ARE AN UNNECESSERY DISTRACTION

Watching the scales is not an accurate indication of how you are progressing.

In many situations you could see little or no change on the scales yet still of lost several inch all over which is actually a more encouraging result.

MUSCLE WEIGHTS MORE THAN FAT

If motivation is what your after i encourage you to keep a record of your measurements around the HIPS, WAIST, BUST AND EACH THIGH 

But remember Rome wasn’t built in a day so have patience.

6) DON’T FALL INTO THE TRAP OF THINKING IF YOU EAT LESS YOU WILL REACH YOUR GOALS QUICKER 

This is a common mistake people make when they are eager to reach an inch loss goal. Sadly a mistake that can have the opposite effect to what people hope for.

The first reason is; we must consume enough protein to work in synergy with IgF1 to be able to maintain lean muscle, this is a critical part of improving the fat metabolising process.

How much protein each of us need on a daily baisis all depends on gender, weight and how active you are and typically many people who engage in regular sports activities invariably do not increase their protein levels to compensate for the additional repair work the body has to engage in.

Another reason is by cutting portion sizes there is a chance the body enters starvation mode which forces the body to store fat as energy reserves because it’s not sure when it’s next meal is going to come along to top up the tank so to speak

Don’t Eat Less …… Eat Smarter 

So although some people may lose a great deal of weight by cutting down on what they are eating, the reality is if they are not maintaining lean muscle those results could be short lived because the fat metabolising process is still sluggish.

AND MY FINAL TIP 

TAKE THE TIME TO TRULY UNDERSTAND WHAT THE BODY NEEDS AND IDENTIFY WHAT ADJUSTMENTS YOU COULD MAKE THAT MAY BE MAKING THE BODIES JOB HARDER THAN IT NEEDS TO BE !

And thats something we are all guilty of in varying degrees often without even realising it.

GOOD HEALTH IS A BIG JIGSAW PUZZLE……

 My Story

Allow me to share with my own health battle. 

Although today I benefit from good health, clear skin, and tons of energy, 

That wasn’t always the case…

For those of you who haven’t heard of Crohns disease before, it’s where the immune response system attacks the whole digestive tract but mainly it affects the small intestine.

To cut a long story short, I battled the advanced stages of the condition for four very long difficult years. I tried endless amounts of medications and they all failed, in fact they left me with more symptoms than I already suffered with.

My severe flares had progressed from every 12 months to every four months, which meant I was prescribed strong steroids every time just to control the inflammation for a short period of time.

The condition eventually became so bad that it progressed from the small bowel to the esophagus, I was housebound for two months and I struggled to run my business because I was so unwell.

Even when I appeared to be stable, I wasn’t really there were just some days where I could put my mask on and make out to the world that life was rosy.

Things got so bad I collapsed in the middle of the street when I very stubbornly insisted on going to London on business where I at the time had a skin and laser clinic.

This was when my consultant offered me a drug called Humira which essentially was going to increase my risk of developing MS, Cancer and sever fungal infections in the skin. 

So despite being told that Humira was my only hope of avoiding surgery I gracefully declined because I just felt the risk where too great and offering very little guarantees that it was going to control my symptoms never mind eliminate them.

That was the moment when I realised Crohn’s was very much taking over my life and my business.

I was a prisoner to the condition and felt trapped in my own self pitty….

Which is quite ironic ….

When I was diagnosed the words of wisdom from my consultant were:

“Don’t let the condition control your life…. Carry on life as normal “ he said 

What on earth was normal about being on steroids every 4 months, being riddled in pain, the drugs not working, endless trips to the bathroom and collapsing in the street because my poor body wasn’t getting any nutrients at all? And this was despite all my efforts to eat healthily…. You see once the condition had progressed to the esophagus even swallowing water was like swallowing glass…..

Nothing was normal about my life which anybody who suffers IBD will relate to everything I have just said, so it was time I took control of the situation and identified the missing link to resolve the issue once and for all. 

More importantly, I knew it was time I took responsibility for my own life and the recovery of it and stopped expecting the medical profession to find me a magic pill…. which didn’t exist!

I WAS DETERMINED

Crohns was not going to dictate my life…. I was and still am the master of my own destiny and this is where my journey began to gain my health back. 

And all my hard work and determination to identify that missing link has very much paid off and I’ve achieved complete remission without the assistance any medication since 2010.

And i want to share with you how I did it…..

So you don’t have to suffer the way I did.

You see good health requires more than just healthy eating, having your seven-a-day, drinking a smoothie or juice a day or even taking a combination of super foods and supplements.

It really is a big jigsaw puzzle.
